Opening its doors to the public at noon, I found myself one of the first guests at Tabla. I was quickly led to my seat and began looking over the menu. What I like about this restaurant is that it offers Indian, Chinese & Thai. Twenty-one Pilots’ Stressed out played in the background as I decided on what to eat.
The salad was tasty, crisp, vibrant thanks in part to its fresh vegetables (shout out to its plump tomatoes) and (according to my server) mango-type sauce.
The main entrée I selected was the Tikka Masala. While it can be ordered spicy, I had chosen mild chicken. Still, it had a bit of a kick to it. The rice was fresh, moist. The samosa was crispy.
My dessert was a gulab Jamun. This was a single sponge-like ball covered in a syrup. It’s small enough to be eaten in one or two bites but oh-so savory!
Tabla is a very clean, high quality restaurant. There’s a fountain with rocks and a water system that presents a serene feeling. At the same time, a modern song like Adele’s Rumor Has It will play in the background. And for $10, you get an appetizer, a main entrée, and a dessert. That’s a value you can’t beat!
I recommend for lunch and/or dinner.
